Subject: Peace & Social Concerns Opportunity
Dear Friends,
Please consider sending a member of your Meeting Peace & Social Concerns committee to this gathering. It seems an opportunity for both our individual meetings and SEYM to strengthen our work and witness in this world.

September 8-10
Faithful, Effective Work for Peace and Justice
Annual Weekend for Quaker Peace and Justice Committee Clerks and Members
Confer with Friends from around the country and representatives of the American Friends Service Committee, Friends Committee on National Legislation and Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. Together we will share ideas and strategize for a year of faithful – and effective – work for peace and justice.
- How can our national organizations help Friends in their witness at the local level?
- How can Friends’ meetings best support the work and witness of Friends at the national level?
- How can we most effectively focus the limited resources of our local meetings?
- What can we do when our meeting is divided about a peace or justice issue?
- What sustains us spiritually as we try to grapple with a barrage of issues – all of which seem urgent?
Share your successes and current challenges and learn together from those engaged every day in work for justice and peace.
